British Ambassador Backs Bank of South Sudan's Digital Transformation

Juba, July 23, 2025- Governor of the Bank of South Sudan, Hon. Dr. Addis Ababa Othow, met today with the British Ambassador to South Sudan, H.E David Ashley, at the Bank's headquarters in Juba to discuss potential collaboration and support for the country's digital transformation.

The meeting focused on advancing South Sudan's transition to a cashless economy and strengthening its national payment systems. Dr. Othow described the discussion as fruitful, noting that Ambassador Ashley expressed strong support and demonstrated a clear understanding of the Bank's priorities, existing policies, and areas for intervention.

The meeting was attended by Hon. Samuel Yanga Mikaya, BoSS First Deputy Governor for Policy and Banking
