Montgomery, AL - Montgomery Mayor Steven L. Reed has been officially appointed by National League of Cities (NLC) President Kevin Kramer to the 2026 Transportation and Infrastructure Services (TIS) Federal Advocacy Committee, which will help guide national transportation policy as Congress considers reauthorization this year.
Mayor Reed thanked President Kramer for the appointment.
"I appreciate this opportunity to serve and thank President Kevin Kramer for the confidence placed in me. The TIS Committee plays a vital role in shaping transportation policy for communities of every size, and I look forward to working with local leaders nationwide to advance safer, more connected and more innovative transportation systems."
The 2026 TIS Committee is led by:

• Vice Chair: Bill Uphoff, Councilmember, Lomita, CA
• Vice Chair: Chelsea Byers, Councilmember, West Hollywood, CA
