U.S. Chamber, Aspire Johnson County Convene Rep. Jefferson Shreve and Local Business Leaders on Surface Transportation Funding

JOHNSON COUNTY, IN - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Aspire Johnson County, recently convened a roundtable discussion with Rep. Jefferson Shreve (IN-06) and local business leaders. The conversation focused on the importance of ensuring that federal transportation funding continues to support Indiana's economy and communities.

The event, part of the U.S. Chamber's Keep America Moving national infrastructure tour, is helping build momentum for Congress to enact a new, long-term surface transportation bill.

"Indiana is the called the crossroads of America for a reason - its highways, freight corridors, and logistics networks are the backbone of interstate commerce for the entire country," said Kevin Courtois, Vice President of the U.S. Chamber's Great Lakes Region. "We were proud to have Congressman Jefferson Shreve join local business leaders, the U.S. Chamber, and Aspire Johnson County for a roundtable discussion on federal transportation and infrastructure funding. Congressman Shreve has been a leader on this issue, and he understands that Indiana businesses can't plan, build, or hire without consistent, predictable federal investment in our roads, bridges, public transit, and rail systems. We appreciate the time and energy Rep. Shreve is committing to this important topic both at home and in Washington, D.C."
