Seeking tips in dog bite case

At 12:08 p.m. on January 11, a woman was walking near the 2500 block of Tyler Street and was attacked by two dogs. She reported a Rottweiler mix jumped on her back, biting her right shoulder, causing her to fall. When she was on the ground, the Rottweiler severely bit her right arm. A second dog, a brown Pitbull mix, bit her on the left wrist. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries including a fractured ulna. Eugene Animal Services later took possession of the Rottweiler mix and impounded the dog to Greenhill. The dog was classified as Potentially Dangerous Dog Level 5. The Rottweiler owner complied with Eugene's Animal Regulations 4.445, "Regulations of Potentially Dangerous Dogs", on January 22.

Animal Services was informed the brown Pitbull mix had been loaded up by a woman into a truck and driven away after the incident. Eugene Animal Services and Eugene Police are still searching for the owner of the second dog and is sharing this photo of a Chevy Silverado pickup truck with a female driver and the dog in the passenger seat. If anyone has tips in this case regarding the dog's location, please contact Animal Services at 541-682-5748.
