Rep. Carl Gilliard, Savannah Music Commission to Host Inaugural “Savannah Sound Check” Event

ATLANTA - State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah), chairman of the Savannah Music Commission, will host an inaugural "Savannah Sound Check" event to unite the city's music industry on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 6 p.m. at The Pittman Enterprises Club at Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia.

Following the passage of House Bill 762, which was signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp in May 2025, Rep. Gilliard emphasizes that this event marks the beginning of a new series designed to strengthen and celebrate Savannah's music ecosystem. The series will serve as a collaborative platform for artists, musicians, promoters, investors, concert organizers and venue owners to connect, share resources and inspire creative growth within the region.

The event will feature live performances from five artists, highlighting the diversity and talent within Savannah's music community.

Representative Carl Gilliard represents the citizens of District 162, which includes a portion of Chatham County.
