Mission Viejo’s pickleball popularity among tops in the nation

Mission Viejo's Felipe Tennis & Recreation Center is now ranked number 57 out of more than 6,000 clubs nationwide on Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR). The center is also ranked as the number 32 pickleball facility nationwide.

DUPR hosts more than 6,000 pickleball clubs across the United States and is the number one ranking system for pickleball play.

The City of Mission Viejo offers DUPR score entry for its advanced leagues and club tournaments, but members can also submit scores and games on their own to receive a ranking. To date, City staff members have posted more than 3,447 matches from leagues and tournaments into the system to assist with player ratings and rankings.

Pickleball, which is a combination of tennis, badminton, and ping pong, has been extremely popular in Mission Viejo and is dubbed the fastest-growing sport in America.

If you play at the Felipe Tennis and Recreation Center, you can join the City's online DUPR club at this link.
