The Alaska IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) is now accepting applications for the spring 2026 Undergraduate Research Assistantship (URA) Scholar Award. Alaska INBRE is supported by a grant from the National Institutes of Health. The primary objective of the Alaska INBRE URA Scholar initiative is to support undergraduate students engaged in One Health science research with mentorship from researchers across the Alaska INBRE network. The application for URA Scholar support includes a brief description of the proposed research that has been developed with the support of a mentor and the career goals of the applicant. Students funded through this program will gain valuable experience in designing, conducting, and presenting research. This URA opportunity is for students enrolled at Iḷisaġvik College, UAS, UAA or UAF.
