Durango Drive Improvements From La Madre Way North
To El Campo Grande Avenue Begin May 26
Expect Work And Lane Restrictions May 26-29
Starting Tuesday, May 26, and continuing through Friday, May 29, 2026, Durango Drive between La Madre Way and El Campo Grande Avenue will have lane restrictions while work on the current pavement reconstruction project continues. (See map.)
Traffic generally will be restricted to one through lane for north- and southbound traffic. Fort Apache Road is recommended as an alternate route for north- and south-bound traffic.
The work will consist of lowering utilities, milling, dense grade paving operations, raising utilities and lane striping/delineation. Work activities will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. Milling and paving operations will begin May 26 and will take approximately four days, subject to weather and equipment availability.
Amrize, Inc. is the contractor. The city of Las Vegas is managing the project. The estimated cost of the work is $500,000, funded through the Regional Transportation Commission Fuel Indexing Tax.
