Taste of San Angelo celebrates 50 years of culinary excellence

Beloved culinary tradition returns to Spur Arena with tastings from 30+ local vendors, live cake-decorating contest and VIP experiences

SAN ANGELO, TX (August 14, 2025) - The San Angelo Chapter of the Texas Restaurant Association will host its 50th annual Taste of San Angelo on Tuesday, September 9, at Spur Arena at 6:30 p.m. This beloved event is one of the longest-running culinary events in West Texas and offers guests a one-of-a-kind opportunity to sample signature dishes and beverages from upwards of 30 local vendors. Restaurants, caterers, breweries, distilleries and food enthusiasts from across the Concho Valley will come together for a milestone celebration of the city's vibrant culinary community.

"For 50 years, Taste of San Angelo has been a place where our community comes together to celebrate the talent, creativity and hospitality that make our local food scene so special," Olivia Kaminski, San Angelo Chapter Chair, said. "This year's milestone event is not just about sampling incredible food and drink, it's about honoring the people and businesses who have helped build San Angelo's culinary identity, and inspire the next generation of chefs, restaurateurs and food lovers."

From savory entrees and sweet desserts to craft beer, cocktails and fine wines, the event will showcase the diversity and creativity that define San Angelo's hospitality industry. To mark the event's 50th anniversary, an exciting cake decorating contest will be held featuring talented local culinary students, who will compete live in front of attendees.

Participants include 1933 Whiskey Bar, South Concho Food Company, Morris Custom Catering, Cork & Pig, La Serena and many more. Proceeds from the event benefit local industry initiatives and hospitality programs and guests can choose between VIP and general admission experiences.

VIP ticket holders enjoy early entry at 6 p.m., reserved seating and first access to tastings, while general admission begins at 6:30 p.m. A limited number of VIP tables remain available, with sponsorships offering additional perks and visibility for local businesses. Remaining tables and sponsorship packages can be secured online through Stubwire and Zeffy.
