Upcoming Weekend Traffic Impacts: June 19–21

The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of multiple temporary street closures throughout the weekend in Cambridge due to scheduled community events from Friday, June 19 to Sunday, June 21 including the Juneteenth Celebration and Parade, Cambridge United Soccer Event (Scotland vs. Morocco), Cambridge Pride, and the 2026 B.A.A. 10K.

Please follow all posted detour signage, plan ahead , and consider using alternative routes or modes of transportation.

Friday, June 19: Cambridge United Soccer Event: Scotland vs. Morocco

  • Street Closure:
    • Cambridge Street between Prospect St and Springfield Street
  • Time of Closure: 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Friday, June 19: Cambridge Juneteenth Celebration and Parade

  • Street Closures :
    • Parade starts at Pleasant St between Mass Ave & Green St, proceeds up Pleasant St to Western Ave, to Blackstone St
    • Event to follow at Riverside Press Park
  • Time of Closure: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

  • Street Closure:
    • Inman Street between Bishop Allen Dr and Mass Ave
    • Dottie Doyle Way
  • Time of Impacts: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Saturday, June 20: Select Market Vintage - Harvard Square

  • Street Closure:
    • Brattle Street between Brattle Square and Church Street
  • Time of Impacts: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Sunday, June 21: B.A.A. 10K Presented by Mass General Brigham Cancer Center

  • Rolling Street Closures:
    • Longfellow bridge (eastbound lanes) and Memorial Drive (both east and westbound lanes) and turn around just before the B.U. Bridge, and then turns right over the Mass Ave Bridge to head into Kenmore Square / Back Bay
  • Time of Impacts: 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Sunday, June 21: Challapalooza Music Festival

  • Traffic Impacts:
    • Impacts the area surrounding Timothy J. Toomey Park
    • Street closure: Rogers St between Second St and Third St
