VAUXHALL ANNOUNCED AS OFFICAL AUTOMOBILE PARTNER OF THE NOVUNA LONDON ATHLETICS MEET

• Vauxhall becomes Official Automobile Partner of the Novuna London Athletics Meet
• Vauxhall becomes the title sponsor of the iconic Emsley Carr Mile
• Partnership builds on Vauxhall's ongoing support of British sport through Team GB
• Novuna London Athletics Meet takes place at the London Stadium on Saturday 18 July as part of the Wanda Diamond League

Vauxhall has been announced as the Official Automobile Partner of the Novuna London Athletics Meet ahead of this year's event at the London Stadium on Saturday 18 July.

As part of the partnership, Vauxhall will become the title sponsor of the iconic Emsley Carr Mile, the men's invitational one-mile race and one of the highlights of the meeting. The race will see Olympic silver medallist Josh Kerr continue his Project 222 challenge as he targets the mile world record in 222 seconds.

The partnership builds on Vauxhall's commitment to British sport and its ongoing support of Team GB, bringing together one of the UK's best-known automotive brands with the nation's biggest Olympic sport.

The Novuna London Athletics Meet is part of the Wanda Diamond League series and will welcome many of the world's leading track and field athletes to compete in front of a sell-out crowd at the London Stadium. Vauxhall will have a prominent presence throughout the event, with branding across the stadium and the new Astra proudly on display next to the track.

This year's Emsley Carr Mile features an outstanding international field, led by Olympic silver medallist Josh Kerr. Kerr will continue his Project 222 challenge in London as he targets the long-standing mile world record, following his second World Indoor title earlier this year and Olympic silver in the 1500m at Paris 2024, where he also set a new British record.

Joining Kerr on the start line are fellow Olympic medallist Yared Nuguse of the USA and two-time US 1500m champion Nathan Green. Germany's Mohamed Abdilaahi and Robert Farken also feature, alongside Great Britain's Neil Gourley, the European indoor mile record holder and World Indoor 1500m silver medallist.

With Olympic medallists, national champions and record holders all competing, alongside the prospect of a world record attempt, the Vauxhall Emsley Carr Mile is set to be one of the standout events of the Novuna London Athletics Meet on 18 July.

The Novuna London Athletics Meet takes place on Saturday 18 July at the London Stadium. The event will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 12:15pm, allowing fans across the UK to watch some of the world's best athletes compete.
