The UK's leading omnichannel tech retailer expands to 18,000 sq ft space to support its ever-popular hybrid working model
London, UK - 18 March, 2026 - WeWork, a leading global real estate platform, today announced that Currys is tripling the size of its headquarters at WeWork's flagship 10 York Road location in Waterloo.
The expansion will see Currys grow from a 6,700 sq ft workspace to a 18,200 sq ft workspace to reaffirm its commitment to its winning hybrid working model. The strategic move underscores the growing value of flexible space for large enterprises, allowing them to scale their footprint with ease and adapt their office setup to meet evolving business needs.
Currys is the UK's leading omnichannel retailer of technology products and services, operating online and through more than 700 stores across six countries. The company operates a hybrid working model that empowers teams to shape how and when they work from the office based on workflow and individual needs.
Currys' decision to expand its presence at 10 York Road underlines its commitment to its hybrid working model, which has proved exceptionally popular with its staff. A recent survey of Currys' office-based colleagues found that:
Separately, Currys is now ranked among the top 5% companies worldwide for colleague engagement, as well as being named among the highest-rated retailers on Glassdoor.
The new space will deliver an exceptional experience for Currys employees that remains consistent with their current space. Combining first-class design, practical functionality and dynamic breakout areas, layered with WeWork's signature hospitality service, the new office offers a vibrant, experience-led environment designed to give colleagues a great day at work.
Currys employees are able to book their desk in advance via WeWork Workplace to coordinate with their team and on days that suit them. For those requiring space outside of its HQ, Curry employees can access 40+ WeWork locations in the UK, and hundreds across the world through WeWork's All Access monthly membership offering.
Paula Coughlan, Chief People, Communications and Sustainability Officer at Currys, said:
"We're really proud of our hybrid model, which has delivered fantastic benefits for our colleagues, our customers and our business. Our colleague engagement is at record levels - helped by the flexibility offered by hybrid working. And our most recent financial results show that hybrid working and commercial success can flourish together. That's why I'm delighted we're expanding our footprint here at our WeWork HQ, which will continue to give our colleagues access to brilliant facilities, and even more space for creativity and collaboration, right in the heart of London."
Luke Armstrong, Regional President, EMEA & APAC at WeWork says "This move is a strong example of how flexible workspace enables businesses to adapt, scale and grow with confidence as their needs evolve. By leveraging WeWork's built-in flexibility, Currys has almost tripled its footprint while remaining in the same high-quality and central location at 10 York Road in Waterloo. The benefits are significant: the company can continue delivering a consistent, best-in-class workplace experience, supported by our amenities and services, without the disruption that typically comes with an office relocation. More broadly, their expansion at our flagship location underlines Currys' ongoing commitment to investing in workplace experience and reflects their forward-thinking approach to how and where their teams work."
