Preview SIUE Invites Future Cougars to Explore Campus This Fall

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites prospective students-including high school and transfer students-to experience campus life during two Preview SIUE events on Saturday, Oct. 4, and Saturday, Nov. 8, on the Edwardsville campus.
Preview SIUE helps future Cougars envision themselves thriving in the dynamic University community by showcasing academic programs, introducing faculty and current students, highlighting student life, and providing access to the many resources that support success.
"Preview SIUE is a great time to explore everything the University has to offer, connect with faculty and staff, and experience the energy on campus," said Alicia Taylor, associate director of admissions in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Each Preview SIUE date features a full agenda designed to give visitors a complete view of the SIUE experience. Prospective students and their guests will begin with a university overview and a student-led Q&A before choosing from breakout sessions covering financial aid, housing, transferring, the John Martinson Honors Program, and more. The rest of the day offers the chance to "create your own adventure" through campus and housing tours, an academic program fair, and departmental visits.
On October 4, Preview SIUE guests interested in majoring in pharmacy or engineering can also participate in Explore Engineering Day and Explore Pharmacy Day. Hosted by their respective schools, these events provide an in-depth look at two of SIUE's nationally recognized programs, with opportunities to tour facilities, meet faculty and current students, and explore pathways into these fields.
"While all of our academic areas are represented at Preview SIUE, the Schools of Engineering and Pharmacy will host additional sessions and tours for students interested in those majors during the Explore events on October 4," said Taylor.
Free parking will be available in Visitor Lot B, with check-in located in the Goshen Lounge of the Morris University Center, adjacent to the lot.
