SAU to Host Live Viewing of Film by The Nantucket Project on Oct. 9

On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, Spring Arbor University (SAU)'s Bridging the Gap will be hosting a live viewing of Israelity, a film created by The Nantucket Project (TNP) that addresses the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. The film showcases the varying perspectives regarding the conflict, hoping to enhance Americans' understanding of the conflict. This event is part of the broader national movement, "Israel/Palestine Living on the Third Rail" tour, sponsored by The Nantucket Project, and seeks to foster meaningful dialogue on this sensitive topic.

Through the Bridging the Gap program, Simon Greer, Founder, and Kevin Brown, Vice President for Student Development and Success at Spring Arbor University, have been able to help colleges, universities, and businesses initiate meaningful and productive discussions that bridge the gap between opposing perspectives. Since 2023, key elements of Bridging the Gap have been embedded into Spring Arbor University's CORE program curriculum and are taught to all SAU campus undergraduate students.

"I am so proud of the work we are doing," said Brown. "From where we began in 2019 to seeing Bridging the Gap become an integral part of what we teach in the classroom and in student leadership training, it's been incredible to watch students become greater critical thinkers and ambassadors of Christ through this process."
