"In partnership with Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care and RWJBarnabas Health, we offer the most comprehensive mental health services in the state, serving children, adolescents, adults and seniors, and we are so proud of our great working relationship with Shore House. This partnership speaks to the mission of RWJBarnabas Health to work with our communities to build and sustain a healthier New Jersey, and is in keeping with Shore House's mission to restore hope, independence and self-worth for people living with mental illness by providing access to social, education and employment opportunities."One of 380 Clubhouse International accredited Clubhouses world-wide, Shore House is the first and only to be accredited in N.J. and demonstrates their commitment to quality. The accreditation affirms that Shore House is operating with a high level of compliance with the International Standards for Clubhouse Programs.Shown at the Beacon of Hope Gala are, from left, Ann Szapor, Chief Nursing Officer; Rebecca Dominguez, Director of Patient Care for the Children's Crisis Intervention Services (CCIS) Unit, and Marli Gelfand, Assistant Vice President of Behavioral Health Services; Kim Rozanitis, Administrative Director of Behavioral Health; and Dr. Erika Concepcion, Interim Chair of Psychiatry for MMC."We are grateful for the working relationship we have with Monmouth Medical Center," said Shore House Executive Director Rich Ambrosino. "Together, Shore House and MMC are changing lives by providing supports and resources to an underserved population - adults living with persistent mental illness."All proceeds from the Beason of Hope Gala directly supports members and their journey to recovery through Shore House's work ordered day and social enterprise, where they gain valuable job skills, confidence, and community. What started back in 2010 with one Shore House member receiving resources in borrowed space at the Women's Club in Red Bank is now a beautiful Clubhouse in Long Branch that serves more than 370 Members. In 2024, Shore House received more new referrals than the prior two years combined, and last year provided nearly 3,700 member visits and served approximately 4,000 meals."This is why support for Shore House at events like Beacon of Hope is vital to this organization being able to continue to provide the resources its members need and deserve," Carney said. "It is our tremendous privilege to serve as a mental health champion in Monmouth County as we support them in their mission to replace Isolation for the most vulnerable members of our society with community, empowerment and a sense of purpose."Contacts: Kathy Horan732-923-6632732-546-6317 (cell)kathy.horan@rwjbh.org RWJBarnabas Health NewsNewsMental Health and Behavioral Health
