City Announces Second Round Dates for Leaf Pickup Program

November 15, 2024 - The City of South Bend will begin a second round of leaf pickup on Tuesday, November 26. This will be the final pass of leaf collection throughout the city. City crews will collect leaves from neighborhoods, street by street. Residents can also view the City's real-time Leaf Pickup Tracker at southbendin.gov/leafpickup for the anticipated pickup dates for the second round.

Residents WILL NOT have to call to request a pickup. All dates on the schedule are weather permitting and can change due to snowfall or extreme temperatures this time of the year. Residents are advised to visit southbendin.gov/leafpickup for the most up-to-date schedule.

Leaf pickup began October 28 with the first round and will continue through the end of the year, weather permitting. Crews will collect all leaves in one zone before beginning in the next. Leaf pickup in a particular zone can sometimes take several days before moving to the next zone.
