IHSA Announces Finalists in 2025-26 Student Section & Spirit Showdown
The IHSA congratulates the finalists of the 12th annual Student Section & Spirit Showdown and thanks all the schools that participated in the contest. Schools created a video (90-seconds to three minutes in length) that showcased their student sections, school spirit, and contributions their student body makes to their school and community. Members of the IHSA Student Advisory Committee met on Sunday, February 1st, to judge all entries. The finalists are invited to the 2026 IHSA Girls Basketball State Finals on Saturday, March 7th, at Illinois State University's CEFCU Arena to be recognized. The winning schools in the Class 1A/2A and Class 3A/4A divisions will be announced there and presented with a commemorative banner.
