FLINT- On Veterans Day, Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08) reminds veterans in mid-Michigan that her office is able to help them navigate issues with federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), to ensure they receive the health care and benefits they are owed.
"Veterans have sacrificed so much for us and deserve all our gratitude. More than that, they deserve the support America promised them, but far too often, they encounter unfair roadblocks," said Congresswoman McDonald Rivet. "If you are a veteran in mid-Michigan struggling to get the benefits you deserve, please reach out to our office, and our team will do everything to make sure our country delivers the health care and services you earned."
Congresswoman McDonald Rivet's team has ample experience assisting veterans with a variety of issues, including checking the status of their VA claims, fixing errors with their benefits, and ensuring they get back pay they are owed. Veterans are encouraged to reach out through the Congresswoman's website, or they can call the Flint office at (810) 238-8627 or the Saginaw Township office at (989) 898-6060.
Below are testimonies from two of the dozens of veterans in mid-Michigan Congresswoman McDonald Rivet's team has assisted this year:
