New Solid Waste Fees Effective October 1, 2025

Beginning October 1, 2025, customers in the City of Fort Pierce will see an increase in solid waste collection fees. This adjustment is necessary to address rising operational costs and to provide great service for our growing community.

The fee increase will support the acquisition of new refuse trucks, as well as cover expenses related to repairs, maintenance, fuel, and staffing. These investments reflect the City's ongoing commitment to providing reliable, efficient, and sustainable waste collection services.

Curbside collection will increase from $29.04 to $34. As for yard waste, there will be a flat fee of $6 per cubic yard for yard waste greater than 4 cubic yards and $10 per cubic yard for bulk waste greater than 2 cubic yards. A cubic yard (CY) is a unit of volume equal to a cube measuring three feet on each side.
