UMGC Engages Prospective Transfer Students at San Jacinto College in Houston

The out-of-town events provided an opportunity for UMGC representatives to engage directly with community college students exploring their next academic steps. Conversations centered on students' short- and long-term educational goals, intended majors, and preferred transfer institutions-helping ensure they have clear information about flexible pathways to continue their education.

"Events like the out-of-town transfer fairs at San Jacinto College are essential because they directly support UMGC's mission," said Jessica Rangel, UMGC Outreach Partnership Specialist. "By building connections with community colleges in this region, we're able to reach new groups of prospective students and expand awareness of our San Antonio location, which offers hybrid course options and in-person advising."
