At the initiative of the Ministry of Defense, a meeting with the participation of representatives of military, law-enforcement, and other relevant state institutions was held at the Medical Department.
Memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, was commemorated with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The event was attended by medical specialists representing the Central Military Medical Commission of the Ministry of Defense, the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, State Protection Service, State Border Service, State Customs Committee, State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, and State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population.
Welcoming the participants, Chief of the Medical Department of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel of Medical Service Anar Ismayilov emphasized the importance of enhancing the medical examination and certification process for civilians and military personnel in line with contemporary requirements, advances in medical science, and international best practices.
During the discussions, the views of the participating institutions regarding proposed amendments to the Regulations on Military Medical Expertise were heard, and opinions and recommendations were put forward concerning the preparation of a package of proposals based on a unified approach."
Furthermore, the proposals put forward by members of the medical expert commissions of various state institutions were consolidated, and key approaches were identified to further enhance the regulatory framework in a more efficient, transparent, and contemporary manner.
It is noteworthy that the meeting constitutes an important platform for shaping new perspectives in the field of military medical expertise, examining international best practices, and establishing a standardized and unified expert assessment approach.
