Chinese Ambassador to Uganda Zhang Lizhong Attends Huawei DigiTruck Graduation Ceremony

On September 6th, Ambassador Zhang Lizhong attended Huawei DigiTruck Graduation Ceremony and China-Uganda Friendship Art Contest in Amuria District and delivered a speech. Over 500 people attended the event, including Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uganda Odongo, local government officials, representatives from Huawei Technologies(Uganda) Co. Limited, together with teachers and students from neighbouring schools.

Ambassador Zhang introduced the spirit of the "Shanghai Cooperation Organization Plus" Meeting in Tianjin and the Global Governance Initiative(GGI) to the Ugandan people participating in the event. He said that China and Uganda are close partners. China supports Uganda's modernization and is willing to work with Uganda to strengthen cooperation in science and technology and digital economy, narrow the digital divide, upheld the common interests of the Global South, and achieve common prosperity.

Odongo expressed gratitude for China's contribution to Uganda's ICT technology, economic and social development, and expressed willingness to continue to strengthen cooperation with China in relevant fields.
