On the Activities of the Consortium of SCO Economic Analytical Centres
On 12 February 2026, the first meeting of the Consortium of Economic Analytical Centres of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the current year was held via videoconference.
Participants exchanged views on the current aspects of economic development in the SCO countries and discussed priority areas of future activities of the Consortium.
Special attention was paid to the preparation of analytical materials, conduct of joint research and expert events aimed at developing economic cooperation and strengthening connectivity. Delegates expressed interest in the participation of Consortium members in the SCO Think Tank Forum, which is scheduled to be held in spring 2026 under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Organization.
As an outcome of the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further strengthening the role of the Consortium as an expert platform contributing to the formulation of practical recommendations to deepen economic interaction within the framework of the SCO.
