Gilbert, Ariz. - The Gilbert Town Council has narrowed its search for the next Town Manager to two finalists: Mario Paniagua and Alison Zelms. Both candidates demonstrated strong leadership experience, strategic vision, and alignment with Gilbert's values throughout the interview process.
The Council continues its evaluation process as they work toward a final selection. Initial decisions are anticipated in the coming weeks, pending additional follow-ups and contract negotiations, with formal contract approval scheduled for a subsequent council meeting. Updates will be shared as they become available.
The Council has engaged staff at all levels and community stakeholders throughout the process, carefully considering what Gilbert needs in its next Town Manager.
"We've been thorough, thoughtful, and intentional throughout this process because we understand the importance of this decision for our organization and community," said Mayor Scott Anderson. "I'm confident we're on the right path toward selecting a leader who will serve our community and support our incredible workforce with excellence."
