Gloom Goes Global as ‘Wednesday’s’ “The Doom Tour” Hits Five Continents for Season 2

So much for summer sunshine. A total of 27 members of Wednesday 's cast and creative team showered the world in darkness, visiting 16 cities across five continents over a two-month span. More than 200,000 of Wednesday's merry gloomy band of followers came out in person to mourn the return of Nevermore Academy's unlikely hero during various Doom Tour stops and fan events in Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, South Korea, the UK, the US and more.

Overall, the Season 2 marketing campaign has amassed over 9B owned social impressions , surpassing Season 1 and making it one of Netflix's most talkable social campaigns ever. In the five days following the release of Part 2, the campaign garnered 1.2B impressions , fueled by Gaga's " The Dead Dance" post , which trended online with fans posting their own recreations . The series has also transfixed readers on Tudum , our official companion website, where Wednesday is the #2 title of 2025 so far and the fourth best-performing title of all time.

Beyond the grave, we conjured Wendy's , Booking.com , Nubank , and more to embrace the darkness, and fans were bewitched: the limited-edition Flamin' Hot Fiery Skulls are now one of Cheetos ' top three fastest sellers.

Much to her horror, fans have embraced Wednesday's latest misadventures with open arms, sending Season 2 back to the top of the Global Top 10 TV List with 28.2M views following the debut of Part 2 on September 3.

Read on for every painful detail from Wednesday 's worldwide takeover:

ATLANTA, CHICAGO AND NEW YORK, UNITED STATES

The macabre madness spread across the US with screenings in 10 cities. At Chicago's Music Box Theater, Georgie Farmer and Isaac Ordonez greeted fans before a screening of the Season 2 premiere. At Atlanta's Plaza Theater, Myers and Sunday made a surprise appearance. And at our own Paris Theater in New York, stars Jenna Ortega, Farmer, Emma Myers and Joy Sunday, along with Fred Armisen, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, posed for pictures before a special screening of the Season 2 premiere.

The tour was laid to rest at a special Graveyard Gala listening party in New York City hosted by Netflix and Spotify. Fans mourned together over spine-tingling photo ops and activities, an early listen of the new Part 2 playlist, and can't-miss-over-your-dead-body surprises like Ortega, Myers, Sunday and Season 2 guest Lady Gaga. The singer and actress unveiled her brand-new song "The Dead Dance" , which is featured in Part 2.

CLUJ-NAPOCA, ROMANIA

We created a special Outcast-only zone at the Electric Castle music festival. Festivalgoers stepped through the Nevermore gates into the world of the show, where they could take photos in Enid and Wednesday's dorm room and Pugsley & Fester's Electric Corner, lounge in coffins in the graveyard and begrudgingly take part in activities like palm readers, dead flower crown creation, a voodoo doll workshop, tattoo artists and live performances by Cojo and Muse Quartet.

The experience culminated with a special dark magic show by "Thing" himself, actor and magician Victor Dorobanțu. Inspired by Wednesday's universe, his show included disappearing hands, haunted mirrors and concluded with disappearing ink autographs.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM

All roads led to London for the world premiere of Season 2 at Central Hall Westminster. The purple carpet, which welcomed the entire cast and creative team, was adorned with the gates from Nevermore Academy, the Addams Family hearse and lots of appearances by Thing, who unceremoniously opened the gates. On their way inside the Hall, guests also enjoyed spooky sights like a graveyard, a coffin booth photo opp, the treachery of ravens and a grave digger. The premiere was followed by an afterparty at the Royal Opera House, where guests danced to a Wednesday moonlit disco DJ'ed by Thing.

PARIS, FRANCE

Goth summer was in full effect along the Seine River, which was completely made over into Le Beach-Club Mortel de Mercredi with purple lounge chairs, black umbrellas, spiderweb volleyball, solo ping-pong, skeleton foosball and lots of disturbing photo opps. Immersive beach cabinets showcased easter eggs, nods to the show and unexpected interactions for fans and newcomers alike.

Ortega, Burton, Gough and Millar made a special appearance at the spooky shoreline's opening night, which also featured a set by DJ Khal Ali and live music from Yelle, Julien Granel, Grand Bleu, Khal Ali and Orchestre Lamoureux.

ROME, ITALY

Pincian Terrace was transformed into the "Lido Mercoledì" - a beach installation complete with black umbrellas and lounge chairs, as well as delightfully eerie activities such as Wednesday-inspired hair and makeup stations, palm readings and terrifying photo opportunities. The event featured performances by the Italian Cinema Orchestra, Italian rapper Ghali and DJ Francesca Efee Sulis. Two days later, director and executive producer Tim Burton held a special Q&A and a Master Class at the Giffoni Film Festival, where he was greeted with an extraordinary welcome from fans and a custom Wednesday helium balloon overhead .

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

School was back in session at Ewha Womans University, where we hosted a Wednesday 101 panel with Burton, Ortega, and Myers for local students and fans. The panel explored the making of the series from Burton's creative vision to the behind-the-scenes stories of filming. The trio also took the stage at our fan event at the Yeongdueongpo Timesquare shopping mall, where visitors stepped into the woeful world of Wednesday with a series of pop-ups including a make-up booth to apply Wednesday's signature shades and a photobooth to get Nevermore Academy school IDs.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Cockatoo Island / Wareamah, a former convict site only accessible by boat, was reinvented into Wednesday Island for a multi-day fan event down under. Events kicked off with a surprise appearance by Gwendolyn Christie, revealing the resurrection of Larissa Weems in Part 2! Joining her at the Outcast Assembly were Ortega, Myers, Burton, Gough and Millar.

While fans experienced a darkly immersive evening filled with zombie pianists, haunted tunnels, roaming werewolves, re-created set pieces and a moody waterfront, the group walked a fire-flanked carpet before taking the stage for a rousing Q&A followed by an electrifying performance by Australian artist Peach PRC, who opened with her own rendition of Lady Gaga's "Bloody Mary."

TORONTO, CANADA

In Toronto, we brought the "Alone Zone" to life on the Fan Expo Canada floor to give fans a reprieve from the comic chaos. In the booth, fans entered a mausoleum-type space that was completely dark and silent to avoid the crowds and listen to some of Wednesday 's "calming sounds". Farmer, Ordonez, and Sunday even stopped by the booth after their Fan Expo panel for a meet and greet with Wednesday 's most die-hard followers.

WROCLAW, POLAND

Sunday, Farmer, and Ordonez met with fans at the New Horizons festival to share a sneak peek of the Season 2 premiere and lots ofthe behind-the-scenes tea on the new episodes. The next day, the stars and series die-hards donned their Wednesday best for the Outcasts' Ball, held in the gothic interiors of the Museum of Architecture. At the Graveyard Garden, guests enjoyed a palm reader, a DJ, a special performance by the Polish band Kacperczyk and a cast Q&A.

MORE OF OUR (LEAST) FAVORITE THING(S)

And the torture didn't stop there. The illustrious Nevermore Academy hosted several recruitment events around the world, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain and Thailand. Other activities included the Train of Gloom in Argentina, the Mall of Misery in the Netherlands, an (un)wellness spa in Brazil and a death stare photo booth at the Mall of America that would make even Wednesday (almost) smile. Additionally, Thing gave a hand all over the globe, visiting 16 territories and countries in addition to the London world premiere including Australia, Brazil (joining Lady Gaga's concert), Germany, France (serving at the French Open), India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan Thailand, Turkey and the US.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Wednesday are now streaming on Netflix.
