The DC Housing Authority's Customer Service Centers are closed Monday, Jan. 6 due to the impending inclement weather. On Sunday, Jan. 5, Washington, D.C. entered a Snow Emergency, which will remain in effect through at least the end of Tuesday, Jan. 7.
DCHA is contacting all program participants who were scheduled for an appointment or briefing on Monday, Jan 6 to reschedule for a later date. Participants can also reschedule their appointments by completing the form at this link. If you need assistance or have further questions, contact the DCHA Call Center at 202-535-1000.
DCHA anticipates the Customer Service Centers will resume normal operations following the snowstorm and will update this announcement when more information becomes available.
This closure does not impact DCHA Office of Public Safety's uniformed personnel, who will report to their posts as scheduled. Additionally, DCHA Property Management Operations staff will be available to address emergencies; Public Housing residents are encouraged to contact their Property Manager or Housing Management Assistant with any questions.
Note that during a Snow Emergency, drivers may not part vehicles on snow emergency routes; vehicles parked on these routes may be towed. For more information on snow emergency routes, or for details on warming centers and emergency shelters, visit snow.dc.gov.
