Auditor issues last information security audit follow-up

The County Auditor found management had made progress with most security recommendations. Recommendation One was not implemented. This recommendation was for the County Administrator to formally establish and authorize the Information Technology Services Department's role and responsibilities as the centralized technology service provider, serving all Washington County agencies. Management agreed with the County Auditor's assessment on Recommendation One and has chosen a different approach. This approach aligns with industry standards and supports ongoing information security efforts.
