Firewise Community Event at Coleman Elementary School

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Firewise Information Session on Saturday, April 18. We appreciate you taking the time to learn more about wildfire preparedness and how we can work together to reduce risk in our neighborhoods.

During the event, we discussed the importance of defensible space, home hardening, fire-smart landscaping, and vegetation management, as well as resources like Chipper Days and evacuation planning. It was great to see so many engaged community members interested in taking proactive steps to protect their homes and support one another.

We're excited about the momentum coming out of this event and look forward to supporting the development of new Firewise communities throughout San Rafael.
