Community members are invited to explore Reno's parks in a new way through the City's Ranger Walks. This free guided walking series runs throughout 2026 and is led by knowledgeable park rangers, encouraging residents to connect with local parks while learning about their natural beauty and history.
The first event will take place Saturday, Feb. 14, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Fishermen's Park in Ward 1. Each event will feature a ranger-guided tour along one of Reno's many walking paths, highlighting the park's unique natural and historical features.
All walks are out-and-back style, meaning the listed location refers to the starting point of each event. The walks are designed for all ages and abilities.
Attendees are asked to arrive at least five minutes prior to the start of each walk and to wear closed-toe footwear. Participants are encouraged to bring water and dress appropriately for weather conditions, including sun protection as needed. All walk events are weather-permitting and subject to change.
