Our employees demonstrate a commitment to community...

From shopping for "Littles" to hosting massive celebrations, our teams went above and beyond to ensure local children felt the magic of the season. Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) Support

In Longview, the Stocking Tree program sponsored 18 children, providing everything from toys and jewelry to $400 in cash donations. Meanwhile, in Macon, the team celebrated their yearly donation to their local BBBS chapter, receiving a heartfelt gift in return from the children they support.

Festivals and Fun

  • Buffington & Portage: Volunteers participated in "Christmas to Remember" with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Northwest Indiana, helping 500 children visit Santa and open gifts.
  • Savage: The team spent the day at the Twin Cities Boys and Girls Club, helping kids wrap presents (and managing the "crucial" tape dispensing duties!).
  • Luttrell: Employees acted as "Santa's helpers," fulfilling Angel Tree donations for students at Luttrell Elementary.

Winter can be a challenging time for many, and our Dundas and River Rouge teams stepped up to provide critical necessities.

Dundas Operation: A Triple Threat of Giving

The Dundas team focused on three vital pillars of community health:

  1. Youth: Sponsored the Routes Youth Centre holiday party, serving dinner to 30+ youth and providing gifts like a TV stand and Gravitrax sets.
  2. Housing: Thanks to Michael Harman and Penelope Seyler, $5,000 worth of winter essentials (boots, coats, diapers) were delivered to Mission Services and Wesley shelters.
  3. Food Security: Delivered a quarterly donation of rice-the most urgently needed item-to the Flamborough Food Bank.

Support for Seniors and Families

In River Rouge, the plant prepared holiday gift bags filled with cold weather gear and treats for the Senior Citizens Christmas Luncheon. In the Black River area, a donation to The Children's Center helped ensure that families across five counties continue to receive essential support services.
