LEADER JEFFRIES: “WE’RE FIGHTING FOR HEALTHCARE NOT WARFARE”

Today, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries held a press conference where he highlighted that Democrats are committed to driving down costs and ensuring TSA agents get paid, but Donald Trump and Republicans continue to waste taxpayer dollars on a war of choice in the Middle East and insist on keeping ICE unchecked.

LEADER JEFFRIES: House Democrats continue to focus on making life better for the American people to drive down the high cost of living, to fix our broken healthcare system, to make sure that immigration in this country is fair, just and humane, to ensure that TSA agents are paid, as opposed to being forced to work without pay so that Republicans can continue to prevent ICE from being reined in. And, of course, we're going to continue to work on ending this reckless war of choice in Iran where Donald Trump and Republicans are spending billions of dollars to drop bombs in the Middle East but won't spend a dime to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits in order to ensure that more than 20 million Americans are able to afford to go see a doctor when they need one. We're fighting for healthcare, not warfare, and Republicans are doing the exact opposite.
