Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebrated International Navruz holiday

On April 5, 2025, in the picturesque Almosi Gorge of the city of Hisor, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Executive Authority of Hisor, organized a festive event dedicated to the celebration of International Navruz.

Diplomatic corps accredited in Dushanbe were invited to the event, where they enjoyed exhibitions of traditional folk arts such as the Navruz ceremonial tables "HaftSin" and "HaftShin", national dishes, cultural heritage displays, examples of traditional embroidery (chakan), silk and cotton fabrics (atlas and adras), musical instruments, artworks, national costumes, as well as performances by local farmers and athletes.

In his speech, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin congratulated the attendees on the occasion of Navruz and noted that, thanks to the policies of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, every year Navruz acquires a special splendor and magnificence. It is accepted by the world community as an international holiday and with the efforts of the countries of the Navruz basin, including Tajikistan, the holiday was included on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List and, with the adoption of the United Nations General Assembly resolution, has once again gained its original status and recognition on the international level.

The event concluded with a concert program dedicated to the celebration of the International Navruz Holiday.
