For several high school dancers performing in Tampa's 37th Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration next week, the experience will mean more than just a dance.
The New Tampa Senior Production Showstars will be performing a jazz dance, featuring Pitbull's famous song, Echa Pa'lla (Manos Pa'rriba), at the historic Tampa Theatre. For Showstars Marielvira Gomez and Alejandra Rozo, it will be an opportunity to celebrate their own Hispanic roots through movement and music. A city tradition, the annual celebration will also feature influential Hispanic community and business leaders, like CEO & Founder of eSmart Recycling Tony Selvaggio and local media personality Sarykarmen Rivera.
Today, media outlets are invited to the New Tampa Recreation Center for a preview of the dance performance and an opportunity to interview the students who are excited to share their Latin culture with others.
The 37th Annual Hispanic Celebration will take place Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Tampa Theatre. Free lunch will be offered to the first 200 guests. For more information, please click here.
