Senior Resource Fair on Thursday, May 22

The City of Woodland Commission on Aging invites community members to a free Senior Resource Fair on Thursday, May 22 from 9 AM to Noon at the Woodland Community & Senior Center.

This event highlights programs and services available to older adults in Woodland and throughout Yolo County. Eighty organizations serving Woodland, Yolo County, and the greater Sacramento area will be on-site to answer questions and provide materials. Exhibiting vendors will include representatives from:

  • Health care
  • Assisted living facilities
  • In-home support services
  • Health and fitness
  • Adaptive devices
  • Legal and tax assistance
  • Support groups
  • Volunteerism
  • Repairs and chores
  • Social services
  • And more!

The five-person Commission on Aging is appointed by the Woodland City Council to advocate for and advise on senior-related issues. Regular meetings take place on the third Thursdays of the month at 4 PM at the Woodland Community & Senior Center.

The Woodland Senior Center offers information and services for older adults, including nutrition, recreation, education, transportation, art, health, support groups, and more. Programs focus on healthy aging, social services, and feature plenty of socialization opportunities. The Woodland Senior Center is open weekdays from 8 AM to 3 PM.
