LUBBOCK (March 16, 2026) - National Sorghum Producers announces Tulsa Ports as the newest member of the NSP Industry Partner program, supporting efforts to strengthen transportation infrastructure, improve supply-chain efficiency and expand market opportunities for U.S. sorghum producers.
"We are pleased to welcome Tulsa Ports to the NSP Industry Partner program," said NSP Industry Relations Director Jamaca Battin. "Efficient transportation and reliable infrastructure are critical to moving sorghum from the farm to domestic and global markets, and Tulsa Ports plays an important role in strengthening that supply chain."
Tulsa Ports is one of the largest inland port complexes in the United States, offering multi-modal transportation that connects truck, rail and barge systems in one location. Through its facilities and the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, Tulsa Ports helps move agricultural commodities from inland elevators to processors, exporters and global markets.
"Tulsa Ports is honored to be the newest member of the NSP Industry Partner program. The Tulsa Port of Catoosa has its roots in the movement of agriculture products from the heartland to customers around the world. Our multimodal port system provides access to major transportation networks. By connecting truck, rail, and barge in one location, we are able to help sorghum farmers and shippers move products more efficiently and economically to domestic and international markets." said the Port's Executive Director David Yarbrough.
"Understanding what happens after harvest is increasingly important for producers," said NSP CEO Tim Lust. "By working with partners like Tulsa Ports, NSP can help growers better understand the transportation systems that influence basis, demand and long-term market opportunities for sorghum."
Support from industry partners helps NSP advocate for farm-friendly policies, expand market opportunities, and provide valuable resources to sorghum producers across the country.
