Join us in building a resilient community by connecting with your neighbors. City staff will be visiting neighborhoods throughout Berkeley.

Join one of over 80 local block parties, meet-ups, potlucks, or socials on the night of Tuesday, August 4, and help build a stronger, more resilient Berkeley.

These gatherings offer a chance for your entire household to meet neighbors, build relationships, and talk to police officers, firefighters, and other City staff who'll be visiting events across Berkeley.

If you're not aware of an event organized by one of your neighbors, you can use our National Night Out map or list. Or join a City co-sponsored block party.

National Night Out is a nationwide effort to make communities safer by building and strengthening relationships among neighbors. Strong neighborhoods also lay a foundation for strengthening response after a disaster. Learn how you can help prepare your neighborhood for disaster.

Berkeley's National Night Out program is organized by the Berkeley Police Department's Community Services Bureau. National Night Out gatherings are one of many City efforts supporting our Strategic Plan goal to create a resilient, safe, connected, and prepared city.
