Klamath County Seeking a Volunteer to serve as an Alternate on the County Budget Committee.
The Board of County Commissioners believes it is valuable and imperative to have community input and involvement when making decisions. Klamath County currently has a vacancy for the Alternate position on the Budget Committee. The Alternate is required to attend all budget hearings. If a Budget Committee member is unable to participate, the Alternate will step in and take their place during the hearings. While the Alternate does not have voting rights unless serving in place of a member, their participation ensures continuity. The Budget Committee's purpose is to assist the Board of Commissioners in fulfilling Klamath County's obligations under Oregon Budget Law (ORS 294.305 to 294.565). This is a unique opportunity for community members to provide viewpoints and vision for moving Klamath County into the future.
