JONESBORO - The university community extends sympathy to the family, friends and former colleagues of Helen Duclos of Jonesboro, who died Saturday.
Duclos, emeritus instructor in English, taught literature and composition courses. She served on the university faculty for 22 years, beginning in 1998 and retiring in 2020. An A-State alumna, she completed her bachelor's and master's degrees at A-State.
Survivors include six children, and their families.
A visitation is scheduled for 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at Southwest Church in Jonesboro. Arkansas State University will darken the tower of the Dean B. Ellis Library that evening, in memorial tribute to Duclos for her contributions to A-State and higher education.
