Jamie Macdonald Releases Debut Self-Titled Album ‘Jamie Macdonald’ Today Via Capitol CMG

MacDonald breaks her own record as "Left It In The River" tops the charts for eight consecutive weeks

Today (1.23), Capitol Christian Music Group artist Jamie MacDonald releases her highly anticipated self-titled debut album, 'Jamie MacDonald.' Rooted in authenticity, faith, and emotional transparency, the project is a powerful collection of songs shaped by MacDonald's personal journey and offers listeners an honest look at the stories, healing, and hope that have defined her path.

"This album feels like a breaking of the silence for me. It's the first project I've released in 7 years, and during that time I laid my dreams of singing down, only to see God resurrect them in His perfect timing and in a much bigger way than I ever dreamed," shares MacDonald. "For years I've held on to the hope that one day I'd write songs that would heal me first, and then bring that same healing and hope to others. I'm humbled and grateful to be seeing that fulfilled right before my eyes this year, through this record. It makes it all worth it."

To celebrate the album's release, MacDonald shares "Won't Let Go" along with a new music video releasing today at 10am CT. Watch the video here. The album arrives as MacDonald continues her standout run at radio with "Left It In The River," now No. 1 for eight consecutive weeks, topping the Billboard Christian AC, Mediabase Christian AC, and Mediabase Activator Christian AC charts. The achievement breaks her own record set by "Desperate," which previously held the top spot for seven consecutive weeks. Driven by a steady beat and an anthemic chorus declaring freedom from guilt and shame, "Left It In The River" captures the honest, faith-centered songwriting that continues to connect with listeners.

In just one year, Jamie MacDonald has emerged as one of music's most compelling new voices. She made history with the most stations ever playing a debut single on impact date at Christian radio and has since earned two consecutive No. 1 singles, surpassing 135 million streams along the way. Jamie was selected as the only Christian artistfeatured in both Spotify's 2026 Artists To Watch and Amazon Music's 2026 Artists To Watch programs. Her growing list of accolades includes three K-LOVE Fan Award nominations and one Dove Award nomination, including a Song of the Year nod, while a reimagined version of "Desperate" featuring GRAMMY® winner Lauren Daigle continues to reach new audiences.

MacDonald recently announced her first-ever headlining tour, the "Left It In The River" Tour, which has already sold out five shows. The eight date run is kicking off February 19 in Dallas and traveling through major cities including Nashville,Chicago, Pittsburgh, and more.
