Bowman is pleased to welcome Andy Dearing as executive vice president overseeing all aerial imaging operations nationally. In this role, Dearing will direct all high-altitude aerial orthoimagery, digital mapping and lidar operations acquired in connection with the Company's April 2024 purchase of St. Louis-based Surdex. He will also manage the integration of the Company's drone-based imaging and scanning services with Surdex's capabilities. Additionally, Andy will spearhead the national expansion of Bowman's aerial geospatial service offerings.
With more than 20 years of experience in the geospatial industry, Andy brings a proven track record across government, academic and commercial sectors. Prior to joining Bowman, he was instrumental in the success of GeoFutures, a strategic initiative aimed at advancing the St. Louis region's geospatial industry. He also served as CEO of Boundless Spatial and spent nearly a decade managing ESRI's Midwest professional services team.
"Bowman's sophisticated suite of geospatial service offerings intersects with each of our verticals and is integral to our broader strategic vision," said Gary Bowman, chairman and CEO of Bowman. "With Andy at the helm of our aerial imaging operations, we will continue to enhance these offerings, delivering even greater value to our public and private sector clients. His leadership will undoubtedly continue to strengthen our portfolio and drive innovative developments within our geospatial practice."
Ron Hoffmann, former president of Surdex will assume the role of vice president of aviation at Bowman, overseeing all flight operations. This shift leverages Hoffman's extensive industry expertise as the Company advances its growth initiatives in the high-altitude geospatial sector.
"As we progress through this pivotal stage, my focus will be on expanding our collective geospatial services practice nationally by uncovering new opportunities that align with our customers' needs and long-term objectives," said Dearing. "By advancing the total integration of Surdex into Bowman, we will achieve transformational growth that will propel our geospatial capabilities and revenue synergies to new heights."
