Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Mike Johnson's Visit to "Ariel" Settlement Contradicts Stated U.S. Position on Settlements

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemns U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson's visit to the "Ariel" settlement, built on occupied Palestinian land in the heart of the West Bank, along with his provocative and inflammatory statements in support of annexation. The Ministry considers this a blatant violation of international law, UN resolutions, and efforts, both Arab and American, to end the war and promote calm.
Such actions encourage settlement expansion and settler crimes and clearly contradict the U.S.'s declared position on settlements.

The Ministry reaffirms that all settlements are illegal, illegitimate, and a major threat to the two-state solution and prospects for peace.
