Reclamation Announces Public Comment Period for Long-Term Warren Act Contract With San Juan Water District

FOLSOM, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation and San Juan Water District have completed negotiation of a long-term Warren Act contract for conveyance of non-Central Valley Project Water through federal facilities. The contract was negotiated and is available for public comment pursuant to the Warren Act of 1911.

This contract would continue the conveyance of up to 25,000 acre-feet, per year, of non-Central Valley Project water using excess capacity in Folsom Reservoir. This contract supports San Juan Water District commitments made in the American River Basin Water Forum Agreement.

Written comments on this draft contract must be received by close of business on Feb. 18, and sent to Chanthea Khoun, repayment specialist, Central California Area Office, Bureau of Reclamation, 7794 Folsom Dam Road, Folsom, CA 95630, or emailed to [email protected].
