Hammen's combine went down last week early in his soybean harvest. "It definitely put a dent in my harvest timeline," Hammen said Sept. 27. Prior to the breakdown, he harvested three fields of beans, with yields between 55 to 65 bushels per acre. He estimates a little more than 40% of soybeans have been harvested in his area.
