Welcome Fall at Daggerwing Nature Center

Daggerwing Nature Center is in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park at 11435 Park Access Road, off Cain Boulevard between Glades Road and Yamato Road, west of Boca Raton. Please register online at www.pbcparks.com under "Online Services." Click Register/Pay for Program or visit the nature center to register and pay. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, and recreation, and educate the community on health and wellness.

ANIMAL FEEDINGS & TALKS

During feeding time, listen to a short talk about one of Daggerwing's resident animals.

MOTHER NATURE & ME: WILD WEBS

Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

BUTTERFLY GARDENING
Saturday, September 5, 10:30 a.m.
Adults and children ages 5+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Learn all about local butterflies and discover how to attract them with a butterfly garden. Find out which plants are best to attract a multitude of species and enjoy a guided tour of Daggerwing Nature Center's butterfly garden.

DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: INSECTS & SPIDERS

Enjoy a special program about insects and spiders, featuring a visit from one of the nature center's resident animal ambassadors! Located at the Glades Road Branch Library. Call the library for details and RSVP at (561) 482-4554.

INTRO TO ARCHERY
Saturday, September 12, 9:30 a.m.
Adults and children ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Join USA Archery-certified staff and learn about the exciting sport of archery. This program teaches archery safety, skills and proper use of a bow and arrow before practicing on the range. Equipment is provided. Note: Bows may be difficult for smaller children to pull.

BIRDING 101
Saturday, September 19, 10:30 a.m.
Adults and children ages 5+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Learn about the exciting hobby of bird watching. One of our naturalists will teach about different types of birds and identification skills. Afterward, we will practice these new skills during a guided birding adventure.

FISHING FUN
Saturday, September 26, 9:30 a.m.
Adults and children ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Learn the basics of freshwater fishing! Class includes fishing pole basics, casting tips and freshwater fish identification. All fishing supplies are provided. Please bring a water bottle, sun protection and closed-toe shoes that can get wet/muddy.
