Philadelphia, PA

Comcast's Xfinity today announced record-setting performance from its new RealTime4K technology during Super Bowl LX, delivering the game to customers' homes faster than any other provider.

Internal testing showed that Xfinity customers watching on the Peacock RealTime4K channel were among the first in the country to see every moment unfold from Levi's Stadium, as close to real-time as possible and in the best possible picture and audio quality. Additional testing confirmed Xfinity's feed was between 9 and 49 seconds faster than virtual MVPDs, including YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, and DirecTV.

"Delivering the fastest path from stadium to screen is the ultimate benchmark for live sports," said Michael Pilquist, Vice President, Video Architecture, Comcast.

"

'RealTime4K' builds on our network innovation to give customers not only the most immersive picture and sound, but the speed that keeps them ahead of spoilers, texts, and social media.

These results are made possible by Comcast's continued investment in its best-in-class network. New technology removes compression steps in the delivery pipeline, enabling a live sports viewing experience as close to real-time as possible. Plus, capacity improvements mean 4K programming can be delivered into customers' homes at the highest possible bitrate - double that of traditional 4K and five times that of HD.

With a full day of Olympics and Super Bowl coverage in RealTime4K, plus streaming coverage on Peacock, Sunday February 8 marked the most-trafficked day ever for video streaming on Comcast's network.

RealTime4K is part of Xfinity's ongoing commitment to redefine how fans engage with live sports by offering the most immersive and effortless way to watch all the biggest moments - all in one place. Only Xfinity can deliver best-in-class technology such as RealTime4K, the smartest and most reliable WIFI with multi-gig speeds, and seamless, secure connectivity across devices.
