SDB New Faculty Boot Camp Prepares Future Lab Leaders
Monday, August 31, 2026The Society for Developmental Biology's (SDB) New Faculty Boot Camp (NFBC) is a 12-week blended learning course designed for pre-tenure faculty in their first three years and advanced postdoctoral fellows about to enter their first academic position.
From September through December 2026, participants develop skills in lab leadership, time and project management, funding, teaching, and mentoring. The program combines six asynchronous modules, live Zoom sessions, expert guidance, and peer feedback while fostering a supportive community of colleagues navigating similar career transitions.
