Norton Rose Fulbright represents AES Andes in renewable energy project financing

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright represented AES Andes in the financings for two solar, wind and battery storage projects in Chile's Antofagasta region totaling over US$1 billion.

The Cristales project closed on August 13, 2025 and involved a US$459.5 million financing for a 287.6 MWp solar plant with a 340 MW/4-hour battery energy storage system. The Pampas project closed on October 16, 2025 and secured US$548.9 million in senior secured construction and term financing for a hybrid solar, wind and battery energy storage system.

Both deal teams were led by Raquel Bierzwinsky (New York). The Cristales team included Micaela Garcia Ribeyro (Washington, DC) and Fiorella Ruiz del Campo (New York). The Pampas team included Micaela Garcia Ribeyro (Washington, DC), Fiorella Ruiz del Campo and Laura Salazar Alvarez (New York).
