Applications open for 2026 Campaspe Murray Business Awards

Businesses across the region are invited to put their achievements in the spotlight, with applications now open for the 2026 Campaspe Murray Business Awards.

Now in their 24th year, the awards celebrate excellence and innovation across a diverse range of industries.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Mackrell said the awards continue to highlight the strength and diversity of the local business community.

"These awards are an opportunity to shine a light on the incredible businesses that drive our local economy; from long-standing enterprises that have supported our communities for generations, to new and emerging businesses making their mark.

"With the introduction of three new categories this year - the Sustainability Award, Community Minded Award and Apprentice of the Year - we're expanding the opportunity to recognise businesses and individuals who are leading the way in innovation, environmental responsibility and workforce development."

Businesses operating within the Campaspe Shire and Murray River Council areas are eligible to apply, with 16 award categories on offer in 2026.

Award categories include:

• Greenham Agri-Business Award
• Yield Insurance Home Based Business Award
• Foodmach Manufacturing & Trade Award
• C4EM Professional Service - Community Award (Small)
• Coolabah Turf Professional Service - Community Award (Large)
• Kagome Health and Wellbeing Award
• Murray Regional Tourism (MRTB) Tourism and Events Award
• CVGT Employee of the Year Award
• Community Bank Tongala New Business Award
• Telstra Business Professional Service Business Award
• McPherson Media Group Retail Award
• Rich River Golf Club Hospitality Award
• Ace Radio / Edge / 2QN Young Entrepreneur Award
• Byford Equipment Apprentice of the Year
• NBN Local Community Minded Award
• Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI) Sustainability Award

Applications close 28 June 2026.

Murray River Council Mayor, Cr John Harvie said the popular Nichol Trading People's Choice Award will also return, giving the community a chance to get involved.

"The People's Choice Award allows the public to vote for their favourite finalist business, providing another way to recognise those who go above and beyond.

"This award is always strongly supported and is a fantastic way for the community to show their appreciation for local businesses."

Voting for the People's Choice Award will open from 31 July 2026.

Winners will be announced at the Gala Celebration Dinner on 21 October 2026, where the prestigious Business of the Year Award will also be presented to one of the category award winners.
