SBA Announces 60-day Grace Period for Disaster Loan Applications

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Jan. 16, 2025) - The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) offers a 60-day grace period for disaster loan applications. During this grace period, which extends to March 7, 2025 (60 days from the Jan. 7 filing deadline), all applications will be automatically accepted.

Online applications remain open through the MySBA Portal: https://lending.sba.gov

  • Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC): https://floridasbdc.org
  • At the Business Recovery Center inside the Port Charlotte Town Center mall, 1441 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte (across from Rack Room Shoes). The BRC is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays. The BRC will be closed Feb. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services.

Charlotte County Transit Services is offering free rides to and from the BRC. To schedule a ride, call 941-575-4000 and select Option 1 or book the ride through the Charlotte Rides mobile app.
