AJC Los Angeles Condemns Harassment, Vandalism at Wilshire Boulevard Temple

American Jewish Committee (AJC) Los Angeles is outraged by what took place yesterday at Wilshire Boulevard Temple, at an event dedicated to encouraging dialogue between the Jewish and AAPI communities.

Radical agitators harassed temple-goers, and infiltrated a community forum, where they shattered glass, disrupted speakers, and hurled antisemitic slurs at attendees.

No one attending a communal event at a synagogue or any house of worship should have to fear violence, intimidation, or hate. Yesterday's actions were not a protest, they were an attempt to silence and terrorize Jews in their own sacred space.

We stand in solidarity with Wilshire Boulevard Temple, its leadership, and every community member who was forced to witness this traumatic display. We are grateful to the law enforcement and security partners who responded and urge our partners in government, diplomacy, and advocacy to speak out against this terrible act of hate.
